Seekers are people that are searching for their religion, but have not found it. Often times they are spiritual, meaning that they have an awareness or sense of connection to a force greater than themselves, but it isn't quite defined. Most everyone has had a mystical experience or two throughout their lives, and it's those experiences that make us want to seek out answers.

For some, they find their way to the religion of Wicca. Because Wicca has no central authority or hierarchy, many different forms of it have appeared over the years. While that is great in the sense of having the freedom to practice as you wish, for the seeker, the sheer abundance of different traditions, covens and material available can make it somewhat daunting to decide how and where to start. We understand that!

Our seeker course consists of a series of classes designed to explain the fundamentals of our religion, according to our tradition, as well as an invitation to a couple of our holiday rituals so seekers can get a firm foundation of what we believe and practice. All coven members must go through these classes, even if they have already studied and practiced other forms of Wicca and/or Paganism. This is to ensure that ALL members receive the same training.

Seekers are not bound to the coven by any means, nor is the coven bound to them outside of providing a safe space to learn and grow. It is our custom, as is the case with most other traditions, that there be no charge for classes. The teachings themselves are a way for us to give back and provide a service for our growing community. That being said, there are some suggested personal expenses, such as a binder to store notes, sheet protectors for handouts, writing equipment etc. At the end of the course, seekers may be presented with the option to formally dedicate themselves to the coven to continue their studies, if both the coven and the seeker agree. At this point they become a Neophyte.
